FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

 

Who is this Certification Bundle intended for?

  • Level 1+2 is a great option for doctors and technicians – including general practice veterinarians and specialists as well as credentialed technicians and assistants with comparable experience and role in your practice with patient care – who want to earn 14.5 hours of Race-Approved CE Credits and become Senior Dog Certified!  However, anyone who's interested in learning more is welcome to enroll!

Is the online course taught live?

  • No.  Our certification has been prerecorded so you can work through it at your own pace. Each hour of CE has a short quiz associated with it which must be passed with a 75% or higher to advance. A Race CE Certificate is awarded after successfully completing all modules.

Can we use our CE budget to purchase the course?

  • Absolutely! Please do!

When will I have access to the course?

  • The Level 1 course is live, and you'll receive an email upon enrollment to set up your access to the SAGDS Learning Center.  
  • You'll gain access to Level 2 upon completion of Level 1 Certification.

How do we submit questions to you on course material if it's not live?

  • Questions about the course content can be submitted by email to our team at seniordogvets@gmail.com.  Questions and Answers will be added to an FAQ document in each section of the course as they are submitted.

How long will I have access to the course?

  • You will have access to the CE Course materials for a full year.

Is previous CE from SAGDS part of certification?

  • The Senior Dog Veterinary Certification is a new program, which has not been offered before, and is different from the Elevating Senior and Geriatric Canine Care CE course that you may have previously participated in. However, two modules of the original CE course are being incorporated into the new certification program.

Are there group rates available?

  • Yes!  If you have multiple team members at your practice who are interested in becoming Senior Dog Certified, please email us at seniordogvets@gmail.com for details and pricing for your team.
